BSW Scholars & Children’s Corps Dual Program

The BSW Scholars is a joint program supported by NYC Administration for Children's Services and Children's Corps. Together, it offers eligible candidates a 3-year program that will lead them seamlessly to full-time employment in New York City’s child welfare agencies.

Interested students will submit an application specifically designated for the BSW Scholars-Children’s Corps Dual Program. This application will be available December 15th and can be downloaded by clicking the link below. It will have specific instructions to follow so be sure to read it carefully. Interview:

BSW applicants who are invited for an interview will follow the same interview process as all Children’s Corps candidates, and be required to submit two letters of recommendation, at least one from a professor (click here for more Interview Info). Interviews are only held in New York City. You will receive much more information about the interview process only if you have been selected for an interview.

Selection:

Offers to join the Corps are made within three weeks of interview. Candidates who accept the dual program’s offer will be required to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) outlining the terms, values and expectations of the Dual program. Signature of this document demonstrates the candidate’s commitment to the program for three years.
