The Children’s Corps Support Team is a diverse group of Children’s Corps alumni who provide unwavering support to all current members throughout their two-year commitment.

The Support Team completes monthly check ins with each Corps member. They host social events, health and wellness challenges, and graduate school and career panels.

  • Yesenia Negron, LMSW

    SUPPORTING THE CLASS OF 2024

    An alumna of the Children’s Corps Class of 2020, she worked at Catholic Guardian Services (CGS) as a socio-therapist for a total of four years and is now working as an EFFC socio-therapist supervisor in the same unit. She received her MSW from Simmons University in December 2023 and hopes to get her license soon.

  • Asarr, LMSW

    SUPPORTING THE CLASS OF 2023

    Asarr is an alumna of the Children’s Corps Class of 2019, who worked as a Foster Care Case Planner at HeartShare St. Vincent's Services. Through that work, he developed a passion for supporting children and families. He’s currently working as a Community Coordinator for the Family Support Unit at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

  • Angelyn Cannon, LMSW

    SUPPORTING THE CLASS OF 2023

    Angelyn joined Children's Corps through the BSW Scholars Program and is a member of the Children’s Corps Class of 2018. She was placed in a Case Planner role at the HeartShare St. Vincent’s Services foster care program in Queens. She remained in that role for an additional third year and then went on to receive her MSW from Hunter College. She is now working full time as an LMSW therapist in a community health clinic in Queens.
